An elderly man in New York City, New York, allegedly harassed a woman on the street by catcalling her repeatedly. She wasn’t willing to let it go, so she decided to confront the “nasty” grandpa on the spot. He, instead, was recorded threatening to pull a firearm if she continued to follow him around.

The confrontation was shared online by Big Kat, also known as cameraonamazonk. She often shares her thoughts and other lifestyle content with her 104,800 audience on TikTok. The clip attached above began gaining traction in a few days, garnering 42,800 views, 8,100 likes, and more than 120 comments.

The New York woman began recording the elderly man, whom she called a “nasty [expletive] grandpa,” moments after he catcalled her multiple times. She said that the man was 5’3” and had a gold tooth, but she mainly focused on asking someone to come pick him up.

“If this is your grandpa, your uncle, collect him, ’cause he is a nasty, dirty, little old man,” Kat said.

Moments later, the woman decided to confront him. After she walked up to the grandpa, the man was heard mumbling an unintelligible statement. Kat wouldn’t hold back her anger, asking him to “say it again” repeatedly.

Firearm Threat

The man started to walk away, refusing to stare at the woman in the eye as he turned his back on her. Kat told him, “Now you scared? You were so bold and nasty. Why are you covering your face?“

As the elderly fellow covered his face with his bag, he began to shout. Again, he was unintelligible. However, he eventually issued a very concerning threat directed at the New York woman

“I’m ready to pull my [expletive] gun out,” the man said as he pulled up his shirt and grabbed his fanny pack. “You’re following me like you know me. Get the [expletive] out of here.”

Kat, however, didn’t feel threatened at all, saying, “Yeah? You want a taste?” Later, however, she would write in the clip’s description, “Regular day in Brooklyn. I hate living around them!“

New York Reacts

The video sparked multiple responses, mostly from concerned followers reacting to the scary interaction. One said, “Please stay safe, girl. We love you.” Another one commented, “I’m glad you called him out, but please be safe.”

Others applauded Kat for how brave she was while confronting the elderly man. One wrote, “You handled that flamingo so well.” Meanwhile, some even bashed the man himself, with one saying, “Old and bold ’til the camera comes out.”
