A black Trump supporter in California drew backlash after filming himself confronting and allegedly harassing a Mexican man following what appeared to be a tense interaction between the two.

Text displayed on the video read, “Me and this Mexican guy were inside the gas station together. He didn’t say a word until he got back in his car and drove off.” Based on that caption, the Trump supporter suggested there had been some kind of interaction after they left the store, although it is unclear exactly what was said or what prompted the confrontation. The video does not independently verify the circumstances leading up to the exchange.

In the video, the man wearing the MAGA hat was sitting in his car, which was parked next to the other man’s vehicle. He repeatedly directed a racial slur at the man while asking why he had allegedly waited until he was leaving the gas station to say anything. He then referenced the man’s ethnicity, saying, “You in my country, [n-word].”

The Trump supporter continued directing the racial slur at the man several more times as the two exchanged words. However, it was not clear what the other man was saying in response. After hurling additional insults, the Trump supporter told him, “Go back to [expletive] Mexico, [expletive],” further escalating the confrontation.

In response, the man raised his middle finger toward the Trump supporter. The supporter then declared, “This is a Trump country, [expletive].” The man continued gesturing toward his T-shirt, which appeared to display the word “Mexico” or “Mexican.” The video ended with the Trump supporter holding his MAGA hat in apparent response to the man’s shirt. It is unclear whether the confrontation continued after the recording stopped.

Viewers Criticize California Trump Supporter After Harassing Mexican Man

The video sparked reactions online. Many viewers criticized the California Trump supporter for the way he treated the Mexican man. Some also questioned his support for President Trump, arguing that they believed he would not be accepted by many other Trump supporters because he is black. “Someone should tell him he’s not in the club,” one person wrote. Another added, “It’s unbelievable that he supports Trump. Trump hates that guy.”

More viewers commented on the man’s race and his support for President Trump. “A POC MAGA is so sad,” one person wrote. Another added, “As a POC, agreed. So ridiculous when they say dumb things like ‘go back to your country’ or ‘get out of my country.’ Like are you that dumb? Unless you’re Native American, your roots aren’t originally from here either. Same goes for racist white people.”

The video sparked a conversation about race, political identity, and why some people believe Black supporters of President Trump are acting against their own interests. It also led to broader discussions about racism within communities of color and whether people should show solidarity with one another rather than direct racial hostility toward others.
