ICE agents in California were filmed getting chased out of a grocery store by a screaming woman who repeatedly blew a whistle as they walked through the store.
In the video, two ICE agents wearing tactical gear were inside Manolos Grocery Store. The footage appears to show them preparing to carry out an immigration enforcement operation. However, a woman repeatedly followed them through the store while blowing a whistle and yelling, disrupting their movements.
“Show your warrants,” the woman repeatedly shouted as she walked behind the ICE agents. One of the agents then handed something to an employee before the two agents headed toward the exit. As they left the store, the woman continued filming them while repeatedly yelling, “Show your warrants.”
The woman then shouted, “Kidnappers. No warrants,” as the agents walked out of the store. A later part of the video showed her continuing to film them after they got into their vehicle outside the grocery store. Based on the footage, no arrests were shown taking place before they left. As she recorded the vehicle, the woman continued blowing her whistle and also referred to the agents as “Nazis.” The video ended with the agents driving away while the protester filmed the vehicle’s license plate.
Another video showed the same woman continuing to yell at the ICE agents while calling for the store’s manager to make them leave. The footage also showed other protesters joining her, using whistles and alerting employees and shoppers to the presence of ICE agents inside the grocery store.
The remainder of the video showed the woman repeatedly shouting and blowing her whistle as she chased the ICE agents out of the store. At one point, she yelled, “Are you taunting the community to chase you? You want the community to chase you!” As the agents were leaving, she also directed an insult at one of them, saying, “I hope you die, [expletive].”
The incident reflects a broader trend seen in recent months. It’s one where ICE agents are increasingly encountering protesters while carrying out immigration enforcement operations in some communities. Demonstrators have gathered near raid locations to chant slogans, record agents on their phones, use whistles or other noisemakers.
