Sen. Elizabeth Warren was confronted by a LindellTV reporter in Washington, D.C., about New Jersey’s disclosure that nearly 400 noncitizens cast ballots after a state software error improperly registered roughly 6,600 people. In the video shared on X, Warren responded that it is already illegal for noncitizens to vote and that existing laws prevent it, before declining to address further questions about the Save America Act or prior Democratic statements on the issue. The clip has drawn significant online attention and reactions.

The footage shows the reporter saying, “Hi. Just a quick question for you. Does the recent revelation in New Jersey with the aliens,” before Warren replies, “It is already illegal for someone who’s not an American citizen to vote.” The reporter continues, “Period. That’s at least 400 aliens that did,” and Warren adds that “people have violated the law” while stating, “I don’t understand why you want laws that are already there.” As Warren walks toward an open elevator, the reporter says, “But I thought Democrats said illegals never vote, but obviously they do,” and Warren does not respond further.

The post notes that Warren was also pressed on prior Democratic claims that noncitizens never vote and declined to answer further. These details about the New Jersey software error that registered roughly 6,600 noncitizens have been reported by state officials, though the video itself focuses only on the hallway exchange.

How Viewers Are Responding to the Exchange

Some commenters focused on the existing laws, with one writing, “The follow-up you missed is that the laws are designed to deter & punish if caught, not prevent. That’s the whole problem!”

Others drew comparisons to other issues, noting, “There are already laws against murder, but they have no problem trying to take away the Second Amendment,” and “We already have gun laws in place; why do we need more?”

Several users questioned the response itself, with comments such as “Looks like the law is not working; need to add to the law!” and “Obviously the laws to prevent that have been purposely ignored.”

Several replies expressed support for stronger measures, including “That’s why we need the SAVE AMERICA ACT.”

The clip has become part of the ongoing online discussion about noncitizen voting and election integrity measures. Whether the exchange influences positions on the Save America Act remains to be seen.
