When an Indiana man with Parkinson’s was out enjoying his day, it was quickly ruined by an irate local woman. Instead of just letting her get away with it, a teenage boy stepped in to protect the man until police showed up.
TikToker Envixityedits14 recorded the confrontation, wherein the elderly woman was heard harassing a teenage boy and a man who locals know as ‘Henry.’ You can hear the lady berating Henry. Meanwhile, the teenage boy stood in between her and Henry with his bike.
The antagonizing continues, resulting in the teenage boy getting off his bike to better shield Henry, who is heard talking on his phone, saying he feels threatened. Overhearing that, the agitated woman says, “Is it? What is the threat, boy?” When the person on the phone asks him if he can just walk away from her, Henry answers, “She keeps following me.”
Someone on the phone asks Henry, “Where are you at exactly?” The local walks closer, angrily mocking him, “Where are you at exactly, boy?” She asks them if they’re scared and laughs at them until police pull up.
The officer exits his vehicle and tells the woman she needs to “leave him alone right now.” At this point, the teenager and Henry back up so police can deal with her. The officer barely hesitates to throw handcuffs on the woman. She asks him, “What are you doing, sir?” as he locks the cuffs and the video ends.
Indiana is reacting to the teenage boy’s bravery
Although initially disturbed by the woman’s behavior, TikTok viewers online didn’t hesitate to praise the young boy for stepping in when he did. People also spoke on her arrest, speculating that it may not have been the first time.
“She’s done this before, he didn’t even question her. Straight to the cuffs,” one commenter wrote, which attracted further discussion. Some noticed how quickly the lady put her hands in position for handcuffs.
Knowing the man by name, a commenter shared that Henry is “a sweet old man” who will “volunteer to take out our trash and tell us about his day” at a local salon. The original poster, Envixityedits14, shared in a comment that she had also “shattered” Henry’s phone. The TikToker also said they’d help replace it.
It is not known what led to the confrontation. Apparently, Henry is a very helpful local who was in the wrong place at the wrong time. According to one commenter, “…she was thrown out a bar across the street.”
