A Minnesota man was accused of smashing the windows of his pregnant partner’s car after she took part in a maternity photoshoot with her best friend.
The viral video was shared online by the man’s partner. In it, she showed the inside of her car covered in shattered glass after the windows had been smashed. She filmed both the front and back seats, where broken glass could be seen scattered throughout the vehicle. Explaining what she said had happened, she wrote over the video, “all bc I did my maturnity [sic] photos with my bsf btw.”
The woman later shared a comment providing more context about the situation. She said her partner had originally agreed to take part in the maternity photoshoot with her. However, on the day it was scheduled, he allegedly asked her and the photographer to postpone it until the following day because he wanted to buy a truck. According to the woman, when the rescheduled day arrived, he was late and then claimed he did not have anything nice to wear. She said that excuse was not true. As a result, she asked her best friend to join her for the maternity photoshoot instead, and her friend agreed.
The woman later clarified that her best friend was a woman after some viewers defended her partner’s reaction under the mistaken assumption that she had taken the maternity photos with a male friend. She also said that she is no longer in a relationship with him. It is unclear whether the incident involving the smashed car windows was reported to police.
Viewers Worried After Minnesota Man Smashes His Partner’s Car Windows
The video sparked reactions online. Many viewers expressed concern for the Minnesota woman’s safety following the incident and urged her to leave the relationship. “Leave him before the baby comes, if he’s willing to hurt a car he’s willing to hurt you and your child,” one person wrote. Another commenter said, “If he’d break a whole [expletive] car he’s gonna hit your kid.”
More viewers criticized the man’s alleged actions and rejected the idea that they were justified by the photoshoot. “Yall are missing the point..he busted a PREGNANT woman’s window, since when was violence a substitute for maternity photos with another woman? The mother of his child at that,” one person wrote. Another commenter said, “father flaked on her more than once and lied to avoid the shoot. Normally fathers are supposed to be reliable.”
The video sparked a conversation about how some people can react with violence or property damage over relatively minor disagreements. It also led to discussions about the importance of recognizing potentially abusive behavior, with many viewers emphasizing that personal safety should take priority over staying in a relationship they believe has become dangerous.
