A program linked to Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz that would provide dolls featuring removable and swappable genitalia for use with children ages 4 to 10 has drawn significant online attention. The dolls, developed through a University of Minnesota initiative, are intended for clinicians and educators working with gender-diverse youth, according to reports. Social media users reacted after a post highlighted the project, with many expressing strong criticism and calling for the governor to resign.

According to the post’s caption, The Program linked to Walz will make “transgender dolls with removable and swappable genitalia available to CHILDREN AS YOUNG AS 4-10 YEARS OLD in Minnesota,” with the parts intended to let children realize “different options” for them.

The post also references Walz’s role in a prior pardon involving a child sex offender and calls for his resignation. Separate reporting has confirmed a University of Minnesota project known as MyGender Dolls, which involves paper dolls with interchangeable genitals developed as a therapeutic tool for children ages 4-10 through the school’s Institute for Sexual and Gender Health and connected to state funding.

The video itself shows only the still images of Walz and the transgender pride flag; it does not depict the dolls, any classroom setting, or further details of the program.

Some users expressed strong disapproval, with one writing “They’ve given in to the pedophiles” and another stating “What in the actual ever-loving freak is this nonsense?”

Commenters also described the situation as “disgusting” and “perverted,” while several called for Walz to resign. One reply said, “Your obsession with little children is disgusting!!”

Others questioned how such a project could move forward, with remarks such as “This is not ok. One bit” and “Just when you think he is the worst, he upstages himself.”
