Florida Governor Candidate James Fishback Vows to Prosecute Those Named in Epstein Files: ‘You Will Be Brought to Justice’

That’s quite a promise

A video was posted on the social media platform X featuring Florida gubernatorial candidate James Fishback. In it, the political activist and businessman can be heard saying, “Let me be very clear, if I am elected Florida’s 47th governor, I will spare no resource to prosecute every single one of Jeffrey Epstein’s co-conspirators here in Florida.”

The statement is in reference to files associated with the Epstein case that were reportedly released in July 2026. Commenters shared their opinions in the comments, with many in agreement with the governor candidate’s sentiment of prosecuting men who enacted harm on women in the report.

Let me be very clear.

If I am elected Florida's 47th governor, I will spare no resource to prosecute every single one of Jeffrey Epstein's co-conspirators here in Florida.

The video above was posted to James Fishback’s personal X account, where he posts his beliefs and opinions within the political space. The post’s caption reflects much of the same as what is in the video, with the addition of, “I don’t care if you’re a Democrat or a Republican. You will be brought to justice.”

He is specifically referencing the men named in the released Jeffrey Epstein files. Fishback said the recently released Epstein-related files identify individuals he believes should be investigated. He argued that none of those he believes were implicated have yet been arrested or charged.

More specifically, he says, “Despite the fact that the Epstein files were released this weekend, not a single man who was implicated in those files as abusing and trafficking women has walked through this door, or been arrested, arraigned, or charged with anything.”

He then goes on to explain that this is likely because “the powers that be will always look out for their own.” He does not clarify exactly what he means by this, though he accuses them of not looking out for the women who were victims of Epstein and his co-conspirators.

Fishback did not identify specific individuals he believes should be prosecuted, nor did he explain what evidence would support criminal charges. Authorities also have not announced any new prosecutions tied to the recently released documents.

Comments and Reactions Towards Florida Gubernatorial Candidate’s X Post

Various commenters seemed to agree with James Fishback’s sentiment, with one user writing, “Can’t wait for you to take office. Please don’t pull a Trump on us.” Another person wrote, “My [expletive] goat man. Live 30 mins north of Jacksonville and I’m jealous that Florida gets a guy like this. If he gets elected I will do everything I can to move there.“

Other comments were less hopeful that Fishback would be able to attack anyone mentioned in the files, with a different user writing, “No you won’t, we know the promises are bullshit. Stop the nonsense. Get elected then do something. Or shut up.“

Comments that didn’t fall into either category were more in disbelief that the events were happening at all, with another user writing, “I still cannot process that we are in the “they are raping and eating children” timeline, and yet here- football season about to start again. Hopeful, you win and you do.”

Whether voters ultimately embrace the promise remains to be seen, but Fishback has made pursuing anyone he believes should be prosecuted in connection with the Epstein investigation a central part of his campaign message.
