While at a fair, a Utah TikToker caught a man and an elderly person in a confrontation. What started the whole incident was the fact that the old man cut in front of everybody in a chicken line. This set off an angry outburst between both parties, which led to threats of violence.
Derek (@they_bout_to_find_out) started recording after an old man cut in line at a fair chicken stand. This led to a confrontation and a lot of drama. The elderly man was at a Hawaiian chicken stand when he cut in line. He was refused service by the owners of the stand. When he walked away from the stand, a younger man confronted him about his rude actions.
The old man shouted, “Get out of my face!” while the younger man asked him, “What are you going to do about it?” The old man shocks and appalls everybody standing nearby as he threatens the younger man’s life. He points to his chest and tells the younger man, “If I hit you right there, you’d die.” To this, he responds, “Old man, I don’t wanna play with you.”
The confrontation continues into Derek’s next video on the incident. You can hear a woman in the background telling Derek, “The police are coming.” Things apparently got too heated, and somebody made the call. Derek tells the elder, “That’s a death threat, man, that’s a death threat.” According to Derek, the older man started drama with multiple individuals.
Eventually, the younger man has had enough of the cruelty and asks him, “You wanna dance, old man?” The man asks him to repeat himself, and he says more clearly this time, “You wanna dance, old man?!” The older man bends over to place his drink on the ground, which is when Derek stops recording. It is unknown if the fight became physical or if police intervened before that.
The video sparked reactions from many commenters, with most calling out the behaviors of those involved. As one commenter pointed out, “The fatigue is real.” Another commenter quipped, “All this over some BBQ chicken!” Another added, “Bro couldn’t get the wings but was ready to swing fingers.” Commenters continue to weigh in on the situation, how it was handled, and what they would have done in that scenario.
