A video was posted to the social media platform X that features a woman at a rally against antisemitism in New York asking for Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s arrest. According to the video, she speaks in favor of Israel as the voice of Jewish people within the audience.
Commenters were primarily frustrated with the woman’s words, with one even accusing her of being “pro-Zionist.” Comments like “He won. Get over it.” suggest some view calls for his arrest as an attempt to overturn a democratic outcome rather than a response to criminal conduct.
The video above was posted to X by journalist Dean Moses. In it, a woman with short hair and a Spider-Man t-shirt speaks on a microphone directed at an audience that gathered in the Upper West Side.
The rally was organized after the stabbings of a Jewish and an Asian man, under the reasoning of hate crimes. Several people, including this woman, accuse Mayor Zohran Mamdani of being antisemitic himself, allegedly being a reason why this happened.
You can hear the woman clearly say, “Stay forever strong. And I will be here, and I will protest every time that I need to be here; I will be here strongly, and I am strong to support Israel and be there for America and for Israel.”
Currently, Israel is experiencing an intense military crackdown, striking areas like Gaza, with increased regional tensions involving the United States and Iran. At the end of her speech, she names Mamdani, stating, “And you, Mamdani. You should be arrested.” She then goes on to make hateful comments about his wife’s appearance.

Various comments were against the woman and what she had to say. One of the very top comments comes from an X profile called Voice of Rabbis, and says, “No one is fomenting more hate against Jews the way Pro Zionist does. Jewish Americans are safe. Stay out of our business. You do not speak for us.“
Others accused the woman of not being on America’s side at all, with another person writing, “Her allegiance is not for America- it’s for Israel. She violates the oath her family took to get citizenship. These people operate for Israel, exploit America for the theocracy hijacking our democracy & harass our citizens. It’s the act of an enemy.
