In California, North West’s first headlining tour was supposed to prove that the 13-year-old could step beyond her famous parents and command stages of her own. Less than one week before opening night, the entire plan suddenly fell apart.
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s eldest daughter confirmed Thursday that her 14-date Kimokawaii Tour with 21-year-old rapper Molly Santana would no longer move forward.
“I was really excited to go on tour w Molly Santana,” North wrote on her Instagram Stories. “Sadly it isn’t happening anymore but I have something special for u guys see ya soon.”
The teenager offered no explanation for the abrupt decision.
North and Santana were scheduled to begin the co-headlining run August 5 at the House of Blues in Dallas before traveling through Houston, Atlanta, Philadelphia, New York, Boston, Toronto, Chicago and other major cities. The tour was expected to conclude August 27 at The Novo in Los Angeles.
Ticketmaster marked multiple concerts as canceled, including Dallas, Houston and Toronto. The tour’s official website also disappeared, while customers were told they would receive refunds through their original payment methods.

Santana apologized to fans who had already purchased tickets and rearranged their schedules, acknowledging that supporters had spent their “hard earned money” preparing for the shows.
“I promise I will make this one up to you,” she wrote, although she also stopped short of explaining what went wrong.
The unexplained cancellation quickly sparked a heated debate among Daily Mail readers, with many questioning whether North should have been preparing for a national tour at only 13.
“Why doesn’t she go to school?” one reader asked.
Another argued that North “belongs in a school” and should be given the opportunity to experience a more ordinary childhood.
Others were less sympathetic about the professional setback, with one commenter suggesting the teenager should return to “being a kid.” Several readers also questioned whether she was ready to carry a headlining show so early in her music career.
North released her debut EP, N0rth4evr, in May and has previously performed alongside her father. Kim had also enthusiastically promoted the tour, sharing its poster and asking followers, “Are you ready?”
North is now teasing something “special” for disappointed fans, meaning the cancellation may only delay her next move.
Still, Kim asked whether everyone was ready for North’s first tour. Days before the curtain was supposed to rise, the loudest question became whether North was ready herself.
