A New Jersey DJ is going viral after posting an incredibly adorable video of him at the beach, enthusiastically encouraging a newborn baby turtle making its way to the ocean for the first time. He became this turtle’s biggest inspiration as he stood and watched it, hyping it up so it would get to the shoreline.

Posted by TikTok user Stunn.nj, Wunna could be heard calling out, “Franklin, come on! You gotta make it to the water!” The turtle stops and starts again, moving its little arms as it tries its best to overcome its exhausting trial. You can see the little trail it makes in the sand as it keeps moving forward with Wunna’s encouragement. His partner sounds concerned and possibly even less-than-hopeful in the background, wondering if the turtle will make it.

Wunna calls out, “Yeah! Yeah! Let’s go!” His partner exclaims, “This is so sad to watch.” Wunna is unperturbed. “No, it ain’t sad. That gonna live,” he says. As their back-and-forth speculation continues, the turtle picks up speed and tries to make it over multiple sand dunes. At times it doesn’t look like the turtle will succeed, as it manages to find just about every single dugout in the sand.

Luckily for “Frank,” it struggles its way out, speeds on towards the shore and picks up more speed, seemingly more confident. Wunna shouts, “My boy gonna live!” He encourages the turtle the rest of the way until the end is finally in sight. He screams out, “Keep it moving! Let’s go!” as the water approaches and washes up on shore. The turtle hatchling is picked up by the moving waves and swept into the ocean.

Viewers reacted with just as much support for “Frank”

Whether it was just because it was a cute, newborn turtle or Wunna’s incredible enthusiasm, but the support online was explosive. Wunna’s aptitude for being a hype man garnered millions of views on TikTok, along with thousands of comments.

One commenter compared Frank to the Master Oogway in Kung Fu Panda. “Frank in 100 years time remembering the human who gave him the will to survive,” as he looks on in peace.

Bringing a serious note to the view, a viewer was thankful Wunna didn’t impede in the turtle’s journey. “A newborn turtles first trip to the ocean is actually crucial to it’s development, you were right to not help it.” Though one Debbie Downer said Frank would likely “be dinner for a snook about 2 seconds upon entering the water.”

Because of Wunna’s encouragement, a TikTok user said the turtle will be “expecting a hype man every time he does something.” Another viewer jokingly said the turtle was going to “tell everyone in the ocean his daddy blacc.”

In response to a viewer asking for an update, Wunna posted a second video of a full-grown turtle. It of course wasn’t the same turtle, but we all want to believe Frank is still out there, living well thanks to the encouragement of a passing New Jersey DJ.
