A New Jersey creator shared the aftermath of a parking lot crash that had viewers scratching their heads. According to the caption, one car was responsible for a long line of damaged vehicles. Commenters struggled to understand how it happened, and many wondered how insurance would cover it all.
Posted to TikTok by @mytezzy, the video is filmed in a parking lot outside a TJ Maxx in New Jersey. On-screen text says one car hit 10 others.
The damage is easy to see, with vehicles wedged together, dented bumpers, and crumpled rear ends. Firefighters and police are on the scene as bystanders gather around the wreckage.
Thankfully, the New Jersey citizen says everyone is okay. How it happened is another story. In later comments, she says no one could explain it, including the elderly driver. The creator identifies her car as the black Volkswagen shown at the end of the video.
Viewers Try to Piece It Together
Empathy for the owners was one of the first reactions to surface, with commenters imagining how they’d feel walking out to this. “The way I would cry after I’ve enjoyed my time of dilly dallying to come out to some [expletive] like this lawwwwd,” a commenter said
Commenters wanted to see how it all went down. One user said they were patiently waiting for someone to post the footage. “I will literally sell my left kidney for the surveillance footage,” another said. A third claimed there is no footage because the New Jersey parking lot doesn’t pay for security cameras in that parking lot.
Viewers kept coming back to how one car could have done all that. “they hit the whole parking lot???” one wrote. Another said they watched the clip about 20 times and couldn’t find a rational explanation. Someone else asked how a car could hit two rows of vehicles on opposite sides unless it was a medical emergency.
People also wondered what consequences the driver could face. “Wow they may take her license,” a viewer predicted. Another doubted her insurance would cover all the damage and suggested the affected owners go through their own insurers.
Ultimately, many users couldn’t get past how a single car could do this much damage.Even with the aftermath visible on screen, there wasn’t enough information to explain how it all happened.
