A Georgia woman shared on social media a short interaction she had with local police at a UPS Store. She then revealed she had been the victim of identity theft, after a package of hers was taken fraudulently.
To draw attention to her experience, TikTok user Danielleasamuels, Danielle, posted the video on TikTok. In her video, she shares that two cellphones she ordered—showing the tracking number for proof—had been picked up by someone else using both her ID and tracking number.
This spurred Danielle to get the police involved, who are also seen in the video. They ask the UPS employee for details, who reiterates the story, saying it was a man who came to pick up the phone. She claims the ID the man used had Danielle’s full name and address.
Danielle also shares how difficult the owner of the UPS Store was being. She said the owner wouldn’t let her see camera footage, only the police. According to Danielle, even the police told her not to interact with anyone at the business.
Eventually, Danielle does get a clip of the footage and indeed a man was seen picking up her phone. She also shares a photo of a Range Rover, speculating that the driver had been wearing the same outfit and was seen opening packages.

While Danielle didn’t blame UPS for the mishap, she did find the situation really weird, especially when she was unable to view security footage. Many of the commenters were suspicious of the entire situation, especially when it came to the UPS Store and the employee that gave her statement.
One commenter brought up a really good point. “They should be held accountable because I’m sure his face wasn’t on the ID.” Just a quick glance at the man’s supposed I.D. should’ve been enough.
Another commenter accused the employee of being in on the theft, “The store clerk definitely knows him, they probably do this a lot.” Danielle commented back, saying, “I hope their lil tour ends here!”
One commenter took it to the next level, saying, “Small claims court… that’s what I did and I won.”
At this time, Danielle has not posted a follow-up video, nor has she come forward stating any legal actions on her part. However, at the behest of one commenter urging her to contact the BBB, Danielle stated, “Say no more, I’m on it.”
