A man in Nevada was filmed losing his temper at an Amazon delivery driver after his order was 20 minutes late. The Amazon delivery driver shared a video he filmed of the man as he yelled at him over the delayed delivery. The driver provided additional context in the caption, writing, “This guy absolutely lost it because his Amazon package showed up 20 minutes late… during 110°+ Vegas heat. Apparently I was personally ruining his day.”
The video began with the man standing in front of his house and yelling at the driver, claiming that his order was supposed to arrive by 3 p.m. “It’s now 3:20,” the man argued. The driver responded by pointing out that the weather was extremely hot outside, but the man appeared unmoved. “Yeah, I know it’s [expletive] hot. You got air conditioning. You sit at Walmart,” he said.
The man then told the driver that he could record him all he wanted. “Talk to my supervisor. I work for myself, bro,” the driver responded. “Don’t ever deliver to my house again, you [expletive] [expletive],” the man then yelled as he picked up his package.
“I hope I don’t. You have a great day,” the driver responded. The man then replied, “No, I won’t have a great day,” before adding, “I hope you get [expletive] in the [expletive].” In response, the driver told him, “Okay, that’s weird. Enjoy.” The video ended with the man returning inside his house.
Amazon deliveries can sometimes come with an estimated delivery window, such as an order expected to arrive by a certain hour, but a stated delivery time does not give customers a reason to take their frustration out on the person bringing the package. Delays can happen for many reasons, including traffic, weather, heavy delivery volumes, or circumstances beyond a driver’s control. In the case of the Nevada man, the driver was reportedly only 20 minutes late, yet the situation still escalated into a heated confrontation.
Even when an order arrives later than expected, delivery drivers may have little or no control over when a package reaches a customer’s door. Customers can contact Amazon to complain about a late order or seek assistance, but yelling at, threatening, or berating a delivery driver is not an appropriate response to a delayed package.
Viewers Criticize Nevada Man After Losing It on Amazon Driver
The video sparked reactions online. Many viewers criticized the Nevada man over the way he treated the Amazon delivery driver, with some arguing that the 20-minute delay did not justify his reaction. “Haha..what a piece of [expletive], that dude was mental,” one person wrote. Another commenter said, “Wow that’s a [expletive] crazy person. He said ‘YOU HAVE AIR CONDITIONING!’ The poor guy has to get out of the truck and walk to the door 200x a shift. And the package was only 20 minutes late? I could understand being mad if it were 3 days late but damn.”
More people continued criticizing the man over his behavior, with some expressing sympathy for the delivery driver. “Wow. I like to think that you never really know what people are going through. (Maybe someone is having the worst day of their life or whatever?) But that is never an excuse to treat someone like THAT! Those were such mean things to say to you. I’m so sorry you had to hear that. I sincerely hope that the rest of your day is better,” one person told the driver. Another commenter said, “Man some people really don’t have real problems so they gotta create their own.”
The video has become another example of how quickly minor delivery delays can escalate into heated confrontations. While commenters acknowledged that waiting for a package can be frustrating, many said no delivery worker deserves to be verbally abused over a delay of just a few minutes.
