A Florida kindergarten student is facing questions about her kindergartener’s behavior after his teacher told her he had been making gun-shaped objects from building blocks and putting his hands on other students at school.

The boy’s mother shared a video showing him getting into the car after his fourth day of kindergarten. His teacher stood by the car window and explained to his mother what had happened during the school day. According to the teacher, the boy had been building gun-shaped objects at school using building blocks.

“He was building blocks with guns,” the teacher said. The little boy then began complaining, prompting his mother to tell him to stop. He responded by telling his mom that the teacher had “snitched” on him. His use of the word “snitched” added another point of discussion among viewers and contributed to the criticism surrounding the incident.

“Stop and sit down. That’s not how you talk. Stop it,” the mother told her son. The teacher then said a member of the school staff had spoken with the boy and would follow up with his mother. She also added that she had spoken to the little boy several times because he had allegedly been “putting his hands on other friends.”

After sharing the video, the mother wrote over it, “He get on my nerves so bad because what do you mean she SNITCHING (His Teacher).” She also wrote in the caption, “He’s been on heavy punishment the whole weekend so we’re looking forward to a better week.” Despite the mother explaining that her son was punished for his behavior, the video still prompted criticism online.

The teacher did not suggest in the video that the boy had threatened anyone with the block creation. However, she also told his mother that staff had spoken with him and raised a separate concern about him allegedly “putting his hands on other friends.” His mother later said he was punished over the weekend and hoped for better behavior the following week.

Reporting such incidents does not necessarily mean the child intended to hurt anyone, but it helps parents and school staff understand what happened and decide whether further action is needed.

Viewers Criticize Florida Kindergarten Boy Over Gun Situation

The video sparked reactions online. Many viewers criticized the Florida kindergarten student over his alleged decision to build gun-shaped objects using building blocks. Some believed that the situation should be taken seriously and that his behavior needed to be addressed. “This is actually not funny,” one person wrote. Another commenter addressed the boy’s mother, saying, “Girl you need to get him under control now.”

More people criticized the boy and his parents over the behavior shown in the video. One commenter said, “Starts at home… but the parents always act surprised.” Others focused on the language the boy used when referring to his teacher. “Him saying ‘she snitched’ tells me all i need to know,” someone wrote.

While some viewers focused on the gun-shaped block creation, others were more concerned by the teacher’s separate claim that the boy had been putting his hands on classmates and his description of the teacher as “snitching.” His mother made clear that she wasn’t ignoring the concerns, saying he spent the weekend on “heavy punishment” and that she hoped the next school week would go better.
