A Delaware woman arrived at Pizza Hut to find confusion related to her order. Instead of getting what she ordered, substitutions were made. When she asked how they were going to make up the monetary difference, a worker crashes out on her for it. She recorded the disrespectful interaction for her TikTok audience.
Navene (@mamanavene) placed an order for 5 personal pan pizzas for $15 at her local Pizza Hut. When she arrived, they didn’t have pan pizzas and substituted her pizzas for 2 medium pizzas instead. However, two medium pizzas were $12 and she paid $15. So, she felt like she was shorted $3, as many customers would. When Navene asked for a soda to make up the $3 difference, an employee came out filled with apparent rage over the situation. She fought with Navene about it, clearly not understanding the real issue.
Navene recorded the interaction, where she tries to explain to the employee that they messed up her order and gave her something entirely different as a substitute. However, the employee clearly isn’t understanding that they shorted her $3 when they made that substitution. When Navene tries to explain that to her, saying that the worker who made her pizzas “didn’t tell me” that he was substituting her pizzas until she arrived. The worker continues to blame her, trying to say she’s wrong.
In the end, Navene demands the money she’s owed for what she didn’t receive. The employee starts cursing at her and berating her, telling her she can leave. Navene tells her, “You can watch your mouth talking to me!” The employee picks up the phone and calls her boss. She then calls Navene a horrible name and walks to the back of the restaurant to get away from her. Navene wonders, “What is the issue with giving me the difference?” She did not say if the problem was resolved and if she received the $3 they shorted her for her order.
The video immediately sparked reactions, with many astonished by how this employee treated Navene. One commenter pointed out, “Her cussing at you – NAH!!” Other commenters called out Pizza Hut directly, asking them to take a look at the video and how their employee treated a customer. As one commenter added, “As a retail manager, she would have been fired for cause. This is an example of what not to do!!”
One commenter shared that they recently had a negative Pizza Hut experience, too. They commented, “Pizza Hut not going to do anything. I made an order on the app. When I got there, them people was in there with the door locked and pretended they didn’t see me. Calling corporate was a waste of time.” Commenters continue to share their stories and reactions to Navene’s video.
