A California woman is talking about “concert entitlement” after what she allegedly experienced at a Texas concert. While attending the show, the person sitting next to her asked if she would give up her seat. When she wouldn’t budge, the other concertgoer allegedly “got furious” with her.
Eevee (@eeveeochoa27) was at a Karol G concert in El Paso, Texas, and having a good time. Suddenly, a woman and her family approached Eevee and asked her to give up her seats to them. When Eeevee refused, the woman looked visibly irritated with her. But that wasn’t the end of it. Eevee says that the woman found her on social media and left a nasty message.
In the message, the woman confronted Eevee, saying it was ridiculous that she “refused to move one seat over so the children could sit together.” Then, a security guard got involved and Eevee explained to them that she paid a lot of money for her tickets. But the concertgoer told Eevee they spent the same amount on their tickets. The woman called Eevee “inconsiderate, disrespectful, and completely unnecessary” in her message. Now, Eevee is saying that “concert entitlement” is getting completely out of hand.
The creator said that the woman made a scene when she wouldn’t give up her seat. She said she turned to her entire family and blamed Eevee, saying, “She doesn’t want to move. I told her to scoot down and she doesn’t want to scoot down.” Fed up, Eevee decided to involve security because the woman kept on berating her over the fact that she didn’t want to give up her seat. Eevee questioned why the woman didn’t buy seats together if she wanted her entire family to sit together like that. Eevee also explained that the woman made the entire concert an uncomfortable experience for her. In the end, she doesn’t think it was fair that she was expected to give up her seat she paid for.
Commenters immediately flocked to Eevee’s video to share their opinions and reactions on her video. One commenter stated, “I wouldn’t have moved either! Hell no! You bought those seats!! Shame on her.” Another demanded, “Why is HER poor planning YOUR problem?!”
Others, however, asked Eevee if she was making a big deal out of nothing. One commented, “I’m confused. Did you not just have to slide down like a spot? No one was asking to give up a seat or move sections/rows?” However, another commenter replied with, “At the end, she paid for her seats if she wants to sit there and not move down she doesn’t have to.” But one commenter added, “She was rude. At no point did she say please. She couldn’t believe someone actually said no to her.”
As the video continues to gain traction, people have plenty to say about how the situation was handled. Still, many seemed to agree that if you paid for a specific seat, you shouldn’t be made to feel bad for actually wanting to sit in it.
