A Texas family noticed something shocking when they were sitting outside their house: A literal baby walking on the road! Thinking quickly, they saved the baby from oncoming traffic and notified police. But she was left equally astounded when police never showed up at the scene!
Jenna (@skateparkmom) claims that she and her husband found an 18-month-old baby on the road in front of their house. Right as a car came zooming through their neighborhood, Jenna was able to save the child and remove them from the road. Jenna and her husband brought the baby inside, but he wasn’t able to tell them his name. They called 911 and spoke with the Fort Worth Police Department while they cared for the child and got him a snack.
Jenna says that 45 minutes after they called police, some children came down the road looking for the child. Then, the mom came running up looking for the child. Jenna gave the child to the “hysterical” mother, who was crying and wasn’t sure when her baby left the house. Jenna called back to Fort Worth PD to let them know that the child was returned safely to his mother. But Jenna was shocked by the fact that police never showed up to help find the child’s parents. She asks, “Why didn’t Fort Worth PD show up 45 minutes after getting a call that there was a toddler barefoot in a diaper in the streets? And why didn’t this parent know that their child was missing?”
Jenna was completely baffled by the situation and how dangerous all of this could have been. Apparently, the child was being babysat by the mom’s other children but they didn’t notice he got out of the house. She stated, “I would not trust my children again EVER” after an incident like that. But what shocked Jenna even more was the fact that the police allegedly did nothing to help.
