A Texas mother decided to take matters into her own hands when her daughter was allegedly being bullied by a teacher. Walking through the halls, she records herself as she confronts the teacher and school administration.
Posted by TikTok user Aestheticyaz7, Yazzie had recorded herself walking into her daughter’s school. She claims her daughter had been bullied by her teacher, who she confronted on camera, with the teacher’s class witnessing the argument unfold.
Yazzie demands the teacher “step out” and apologize to Yazzie’s daughter for how she “shut her down” in class. “You were wrong for how you treated my daughter,” Yazzie says. As Yazzie is letting it all out, the teacher immediately uses a landline to call the office. Yazzie even apologizes to the class, explaining that she’s standing up for her daughter.
The teacher eventually leaves the classroom, ignoring Yazzie entirely. That is when school administration stops her. “Ma’am, you can’t be in the school,” the administrator tells her. Yazzie makes it clear she isn’t a threat and just wants the teacher to apologize.
She argues that the school wasn’t doing much to make amends and that they were “just giving me the run around.” She felt she was in the right because she thinks the school didn’t do enough to help them. Administrators are clearly upset that she so easily gained access to the school and nobody stopped her. Yazzie tells them, “With these schools, nobody holds anybody accountable for anything.”
The reaction to Yazzie’s TikTok video
Though viewers were generally sympathetic to Yazzie sticking up for her daughter, many were concerned not by her decision, but by how easily she accessed the school. “This school needs a serious review of its safety policies,” wrote one viewer. Others pointed out that a student answered the door, not the teacher.
Another TikTok user shared the same concern, adding, “Also great job for sticking up for your child!”
Of course, the topic of bullying came up as well. One viewer, clearly not satisfied with how bullying is handled in schools, wrote, “This is why bullying never ends because IT BE THE TEACHERS!!!” Yazzie responded, adding that it was also “principles” and “evil agendas,” though she didn’t elaborate on what that agenda was.
Yazzie and another viewer shared their experience in the comments. Both said their daughters “crying every morning” over having to deal with the teacher’s alleged behavior.
Since posting the video, Yazzie has said in the comments that she’s seeking “all legal actions necessary” at the behest of a viewer who recommended she file a report against the school.
