Many Trails fans already know that the majority of quests are pretty straightforward. However, Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter has a couple of them that require Estelle and the gang to follow some clues, such as the Stolen Sign quest. You’ll get this commission as soon as you arrive in Zeiss, and, believe it or not, it will kick off a series of quests surrounding one recurring villain in this sequel.
Stolen Sign Quest Walkthrough
As we said above, you can grab the Stolen Sign quest from the Zeiss Bracer Guild in Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter, which will task you with finding the sign of the Bracer Guild. However, the person who hid it will lead you on a scavenging hunt around the city.
The first clue is “In the city. At the back of a 40-year-old sage.” In other words, it is behind the clock at the center of the town.
All you need to do is go behind it and press the prompt to get the next clue, which reads: “In the Central Factory. Search inside the wisest of entities.” One may think it means the processor, but that isn’t the case.
Instead, head to the fifth floor in the Central Factory and interact with the computer, which will give you the next clue: “The third key once again lies within the city. Seek out Three Brothers in Pointed Hats.”
You may think that this refers to some NPCs around the town, but that’s not the case.
You’ll have to head to the hotel and look for the building in front of it, with three chimneys that look like they have hats. Interact with the wall, and you’ll obtain the final clue, which reads: “The gate is already open. The soul of our brave warriors lies in a quiet place below. Proclaim it for the Goddess to hear…C-26D-E!”
With that final clue, all you have to do is return to the Central Factory, head to the basement, and talk to Fey, who will give you the sign.
Lastly, all that’s left is to report the Stolen Sign quest at the Bracer Guild and wait for the next part of this scavenging hunt, one of the most fun questlines in the game.
