As you might have noticed, the scavenger hunt questline given by a new masked thief is pretty long and one of the best in Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter, with the third quest being the Ambassador’s Assignment. This mission will start once you arrive at Bose, and while it doesn’t feature any combat encounters, some of the clues you’ll get here are among the most challenging in the whole questline.
Ambassador’s Assignment Walkthrough
After landing on Bose, all you have to do is get the Ambassador’s Assignment quest from the Bracer Guild and head to the market to meet a familiar character from Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter. Once you talk to him, you’ll get the first clue, which reads: “RICUL. Back in the flower the search.” Before you think you’re having a stroke, that isn’t the case. The clue is backward, meaning that the right order is. “LUCIR. Search the flower in the back.” So, go toward the back of the Lucir’s Orbal Factory and interact with the flower.

You’ll get a new clue. “The second key you require is also a spell. FTHKC2E. Gaze thine eyes upon the open book.” And there’s another thing: the clue will also say, “One who sees truth walks one step ahead.” In other words, you need to add a letter or number to the above, which will translate to “GUILD3F.” Meaning your next stop is the third floor of the Bracer Guild.

Interact with the book, and the next clue will show up: “If what you seek is key number three, then the uplifted coffin you must see.” With that in mind, head to the search area, go down the stairs, and interact with the forklift to get the next clue.

The last clue reads: “The doors are already open. Find the words of the Goddess. There the token of vanity awaits.” This clue is pretty straightforward. Just head to the church and find the book on the top floor.

Interacting with the book gives you the medal, so all that’s left is to hand it to the NPC, then return to the Bracer Guild to report the Ambassador’s Assignment quest.
As you can see, this scavenger hunt was a bit more challenging, but just as rewarding. Plus, it is a good break from the more fighting-centric quests Estelle and her party get, so make sure to tackle this one before venturing out of the city.
