A California mom wanted to support her daughter when she decided to leave her job at a Los Angeles McDonald’s. After calling her manager to return her uniform, this mom realized that her daughter was dealing with a lot of on-the-job sass. So, she decided to take matters into her own hands and help her daughter return her uniform.

Tati (@mixedgyaltati0) says that the managers at McDonald’s were “very rude” to her young daughter when she quit her McDonald’s job. Tati’s daughter tries to call her manager about her uniform return and the manager immediately sasses her and speaks over her. Her daughter proclaims, “I’m trying to talk, Shelly!” She asks how she can return her uniform. The manager gives her a short answer, says “bye”, and then immediately hangs up on her.

Tati then records her daughter handing in her uniform. When they arrive, the manager (Patty) is at the back of the restaurant. She sends an employee to the front to let Tati’s daughter know that “she needs to wait.” They tell Tati’s daughter that she can just leave the clothes there but they want to make sure the uniform makes it directly into Patty’s hands. The employee asks for Patty again, who refuses to come to the front for the clothes.

Eventually, Tati gets fed up and grabs the clothing so she can hand deliver it to Patty in the back. She approaches Patty, who reacts with an attitude as she flails her arms and shouts, “I’m busy!” She can’t take a second to just grab the uniform from Tati and tells her to “go.” Tati walks away and says, “Ain’t nobody got any time for her attitude.”

Commenters immediately reacted to Tati’s video, with many showing support and sharing their own personal work stories. One commenter stated, “This is exactly why I don’t work fast food anymore.” Another commenter shared, “We don’t turn in uniforms at my McDonald’s because where do they do this at? Why would they want old shirts that someone used already?” Tati responded, “They threatened to keep my check if I didn’t give them shirts.”

Other commenters stated that Tati took her issues with the managers too far in support of her daughter. As one commenter stated, “This was a little extra. You have video proof of bringing the uniform. Just leave it on the counter with a note and go.” Commenters continue to share their reactions about working fast food and opinions on how Tati and her daughter handled the situation.
