A Mississippi woman claims she was fired from an IHOP in Tupelo after confronting a coworker over what she described as racist treatment of Black customers. In a TikTok Live posted by @creshaunivy579 and later reshared by @whats_cracking_america, the woman said she had “just lost my *expletive* job at IHOP in Tupelo, Mississippi” after speaking out about what she allegedly witnessed at the restaurant. She accused two coworkers of mistreating Black customers and urged people to be cautious when visiting the location.
The woman made several serious allegations about one employee, whom she identified by name. She claimed she had seen the woman “kill a baby roach with a *expletive* pancake” and alleged that she then reported it to a manager. She also accused the employee of refusing to serve Black customers, trying to pass Black tables to other Black servers, and failing to maintain proper hygiene.
“She digs in her nose, don’t wash her *expletive* hands,” the woman alleged. These claims were made by the woman in the video and were not independently established in the footage.
According to the woman, her confrontation with the employee eventually led management to intervene. She claimed the employee told her that the manager “ain’t gonna say nothing,” and that when she reported the alleged behavior, management took the employee’s side. The woman said she was then told she had to speak with the coworker, which she refused to do.
She also complained that the employee had allegedly been allowed to continue working despite the concerns she had raised.
The woman said losing the job was particularly difficult because it was how she supported herself and her children. “I lost my job for defending Black folks today,” she said, adding that she could not accept what she believed was happening at the restaurant.
She ended by warning Black customers about the Tupelo IHOP and telling them to ask for another server if they were assigned to the employee she named.

They’ll be subject to get fined and shut down.”
Another questioned the underlying hygiene claims directly, asking, “Why are there roaches in the restaurant first of all?”
