The Wailing Blade is a Legendary one-handed sword that players can obtain early in Enshrouded. It deals physical and fire damage, carries several useful upgrade bonuses, and counts as a Lore Item connected to the Scavenger Stash quest. As a Lore item, it can also be upgraded to higher levels.
Wailing Blade Location in Enshrouded

The Wailing Blade is inside the Scavenger Stash, located northwest of Braelyn Bridge in the Springlands. The cave is also west of the Ancient Spire – Springlands fast-travel point.
Players following the related quest can read the Stashed Our Haul note near the Alchemist’s Ancient Vault. This begins the Scavenger Stash objective and makes the location easier to track. However, you can still travel directly to the cave if you already know its position.
From Braelyn Bridge, follow the road northwest, then leave the path and continue through the grass. Look for a reinforced cave entrance built into the rocky hillside.
How To Reach the Wailing Blade Chest
Enter the cave and eliminate the Scavengers guarding the tunnel. Watch for traps and tight fighting spaces as you move deeper into the hideout.
Continue following the main tunnel until you reach the storage area at the back of the cave. A glowing golden chest sits among several barrels, crates, and other stolen supplies. Open it to get your Wailing Blade and usually one other high-quality Epic or Legendary weapon.
Is the Wailing Blade Worth Using?
The Wailing Blade is a Legendary one-handed sword and a useful early-game weapon. Available enhancements include additional Cutting Damage, Magic Fire Damage, and Renewal, which restores durability after you defeat enemies.
Its exact effectiveness will eventually fall behind equipment found in higher-level regions, but it remains an excellent weapon for exploring the Springlands. Visit the Blacksmith to unlock upgrades and get the most out of it as you progress through the early game.
