A young California woman says that she experienced something scary at a recent Charli XCX concert. According to her, she was “physically assaulted by a production member” on Charli’s crew during the concert. She calls out the production crew, as well as explaining what happened to her that night.
Shannon (@usfeaturingtaylorswift) claims that she was assaulted by a production member while she was at the Charli XCX tour. A crew member initially handed her a set list, and she went to take a photo of herself with the set list and a pair of Charli-themed underwear. While she was taking the photo, she said a production member approached her. He told her to give the set list back. Shannon started walking away.
Unfortunately, the production worker followed her and had security stop her. According to her claims, he aggressively grabbed her arm and demanded that she hand the set list back to him. Shannon tried to tell him a member had gifted it to her, but he wouldn’t listen. He grabbed it from her hands and took it away.
Security saw the situation unfold and apologized to Shannon on the production member’s behalf. One of the security guards even asked Shannon if she wanted to “press charges” against him. Now, Shannon is asking why he thought it was okay to “aggressively grab” her. As she says, it’s “yet another day that a man thinks it’s okay to go on a power run and ruin a perfect day.”
The video immediately sparked reactions from concerned commenters. One commenter asked, “Has he never been to a concert before? Giving fans a set list is super standard.” Another commenter added, “Girl press charges omg.” Another commenter added, “He could have been part of a local hired group and not her permanent team. From my experience in production, some of them have very little concert experience, which would explain such odd behavior.” Opinions and reactions continue to shape Shannon’s comments about the terrifying event.
