During your humble beginnings in Enshrouded, you’ll be crafting plenty of bandages, and for that you’ll need Torn Cloth. While an early-game crafting item, this resource is also used in dozens of other recipes, from backpacks and decorative boxes to a variety of clothes that your Flameborn can wear. You’ll get it primarily from defeating mobs, looting, or smashing destructible items across Embervale.
Where To Farm Torn Cloth: Best Locations

Longkeep
Just north of the Cinder Vault, head to the ruined settlement known as Longkeep. There, you’ll find Fell Defenders, previously called Fell Footsoldiers before 1.0; farm them for Torn Cloth, of which they’ll drop one per mob. Don’t forget to rummage through any breakables in the area for more materials.
Rookmore
Travel further north of Longkeep around Braelyn Bridge to find Rookmore, another material-rich area for farming plenty of resources, including Torn Cloth. Here, you’ll encounter Scavengers, though their drop rate isn’t guaranteed, but there are tons of nodes for finding cloth and other resources for crafting.
Shroud and Elixir Wells in Springlands

Once you’re well-equipped enough, explore the Shrouded areas and Elixir Wells to find plenty of Fell enemies for farming cloth drops. Needless to say, these locations are higher risk, and the Shroud will require you to run in and out before your Enshrouded timer runs out. That said, a good run-through slaying enemies should net you a solid amount of Torn Cloth.
To summarize, you’ll get plenty of Torn Cloth by killing Fell enemies and Scavengers; also don’t forget that cloth bundles, tents, and other lootable and breakable items around settlements can drop the resource too! Fell Defenders will be your best bet, though, since their drop rate is 100%.
Whether you’re making your first set of raggedy clothes or your first backpack, Torn Cloth will be one of the most-used materials you’ll need early on for crafting. Just focus on farming Fell Defenders in our recommended three spots above, and you’ll have plenty of cloth in no time.
