Best Farming Methods for Plant Fiber in Enshrouded
You can start gathering Plant Fiber from the get-go after leaving the Cinder Vault by harvesting bushes around the area. Some other plant nodes will yield this resource too, as well as some lootable and breakable containers. However, the loot will vary, so bushes will be your primary source early on.
Once you’ve nailed exactly where you want your base and start giving Survivors places to stay, one of the Craftpeople you’ll want to work towards is the Farmer. You’ll unlock her quest, “Growing Stronger Together,” after rescuing the Hunter and completing the first “Flame Altar and Base Improvements” quest. She is who you will need to get the recipe for the Seedbed, the crafting station for Shrub Seedlings, the most efficient way to farm Plant Fiber.
How To Get Shrub Seedlings
‘Farming’ Plant Fiber with Shrub Seedlings is meant in a literal sense here: combining 1x Farm Soil with 1x Plant Fiber to make 5x Shrub Seedlings, which each yields 4x Plant Fiber and 2x Twigs when harvested. You can craft Farm Soil from Springlands Dirt and Bonemeal. You’ll also need a single Water charge to grow the seedling.
Note that you can only harvest a home-grown shrub once, but it’s still one of the best and easiest ways to get Plant Fiber. Another thing is that you can plant Shrub Seedlings in normal dirt, but Farm Soil helps them grow faster. You can further speed up the process with Fertilized Farm Soil.
