An Arizona woman captures an intense hailstorm that hit the state, suspected to be caused by a hurricane or tropical storm that went through Mexico. The woman, Zaaaldana, states that the severe storm came out of nowhere. She posted the video to TikTok, and it went viral in less than 24 hours, with over 400,000 views and 53,000 likes.
Zaaaldana is surprised by the weather change, saying, “It was just normal right now.” In the video, she and her boyfriend go from window to window, shocked at the downpour of golf-sized hail. This kind of weather is unusual for Arizona, which explains the shock. She tells her boyfriend, “Make sure the window [doesn’t] break in there. It’s like directly at it.” Through the window, the hail can be seen hitting the pool and heard pounding the patio cover. She asks, “Ya’ll hear that?!” over the sound of the hail.
The intense display has Zaaaldana at a loss for words. She says, “Literally nothing like this ever happens!” Furthermore, this is the first time she’s seen hail since moving to Phoenix. The hail is visible through the window, hitting the cacti and vehicles outside. The storm didn’t last long, but it left behind some damage, including a fallen power line.
People In Shock Over Arizona Video
Other Arizona residents have responded in the comments, showing photos of the large hail and damage to their cars. One person says, “I live near metro center and mine, and my boyfriend’s bedroom window is completely gone…” Another adds, “IT WAS SO BAD MY CAR IS DENTED NOW.” A third person describes the storm as terrifying, stating, “I literally opened the door, and it was literally just a white sky.”
Meanwhile, some are finding humor in the situation, saying, “Nature made cold plunge asap.” Another says, “Bet that pool is rrrreeeeeeeaaaaaalllllll cold right now.” However, some feel Zaaaldana overreacted to the hailstorm. One commenter says, “This happens in Arizona. People are acting like it’s the apocalypse.”
It is unclear how much damage Zaaaldana and her boyfriend’s property sustained. Though they’ll likely wait a bit before taking a swim in the pool.
