Just when you thought your heart couldn’t be broken more, Telltale Games is doing it again. According to Gamespot, Telltale seems to have laid off all of its staff. This is coming after zero warning from workers in September, offering them no severance at all.
However, Telltale did keep 25 people working there to try and stay optimistic. Unfortunately, in just two weeks after the situation, all the remaining staffers have been laid off. The news was officially broken from a tweet from a former employee, Rachel Noel, that reads;

Noel was a narrative designer for Telltale Games. She continues on to talk about the management issues within Telltale Games tweeting this as well;

According to Gamespot, before the sad news, Noel said she was on the team that was going to produce the “Remaining TTG project”. The layoffs did not come at a good time for Telltale Games.
The Walking Dead Final Season episode 2 was just released when the first word about Telltale Games layoffs came about. The word if the other games will be made or not is still up in the air. Will the story of Clementine be completed with the last two episodes? Or will fans be left for dead?
The Walking Dead Final Season was supposed to have 4 episodes, we hope Telltale Games doesn’t leave us with an incomplete story. The situation at Telltale has created a lawsuit, unemployed workers and agitated fans.
Kotaku has reported that the gaming studio is looking to hand off the final episodes to another company. That company would then hire the staff from the beloved Telltale series in order to finish The Final Season.
With that being said, Telltale Games may have come to an end, but news about them won’t for a while.
