Samsung has released a promotional image teasing the new Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Iron Man Edition on their official Facebook page. According to the teaser, the newest entry to their special edition flagship phone is set to release next week.
The phone features Iron Man’s signature hot red and gold scheme, with its helmet displayed on the back cover of the smartphone. Samsung used the #1000limitededition to promote the phone, which may hint at the limited number of this model’s unit to be release.
Not much there is to know on the phone, other than it is an S6 Edge model and it will have Iron Man colour on it. Information such as pricing, availability, exact content, release date, are unknown.
Whereas the specification, it will most likely have the same hardware as the original S6 Edge model. This means, it will have:
5.1″ Quad HD Super AMOLED display with 2560 x 1440 resolution, 16mp rear camera & 5mp front camera, 3 GB RAM, Exynos 7420 processor, and 32/64/128 GB storage.
The marketing campaign for this S6 edge Iron Man special edition started early this week, when Samsung posted the first teaser of an Iron Man special edition S6 edge on their official Twitter account. The photo contains a red and yellow box, complete with Iron Man’s helmet printed on it with the caption “Coming Soon”. However, the tweet was removed not long after it’s published.
This special edition of the flagship S6 edge model is a part of Samsung’s collaboration with Marvel to promote Avengers: Age of Ultron. Their collaboration has also produced the “Battle for The Avengers Tower Experience” for Samsung gear VR, and Avengers: Age of Ultron special line of Samsung S6 & Note 4, complete with Avengers style phone theme, icon, lock screen and wallpaper.
