Soulja Boy, real name DeAndre Cortez Way, is making headlines again.

Soulja Boy is no stranger to controversy with Nintendo. Recently, he was forced to take his gaming consoles offline. When a user would try to access the page of his website for his handheld gaming console, the link would redirect to Nintendo’s 3DS page. Since then, the artist has gone back and forth with Nintendo. The artist even claimed that Nintendo of America President, Reggie Fils-Aime, is retiring because of him.

While it wasn’t confirmed that Nintendo is the reason Soulja Boy had to pull the gaming consoles down, it is heavily speculated. This didn’t stop the artist however, as weeks later the consoles were back up without games pre-installed.

In his latest stunt towards Nintendo, Soulja Boy released a single titled Zelda. The single heavily samples the 8-bit theme that plays during the intro on the original NES game. The lyrics ‘green diamonds like Zelda’ are used frequently. Of course, the green diamonds he’s referring to are the currency used in the game series, Rupees.

Many Nintendo fans have expressed dislike for the song. Many feel like it’s only a matter of time before Nintendo has the song pulled. You can find the song by heading here. Please be advised the song has crude language. If you’d rather not, here’s a kitten video.

Did you listen to the song? What did you think of it? Was it secretly a genius piece or would you rather find literally anything else to listen to? Let us know in the comments below!
