February is just about to begin, and with it, Valentine’s Day is also really close. This holiday is a very special day in many countries around the world, including Japan. In Japan, Lotte is a well-known chocolate company, so much so that it has previously worked with famous artists from the same country. Although it has already had collaborations, it still surprised many that this chocolate company shared an anime commercial animated by Studio Trigger and an original song by Ado. Undoubtedly, it is an excellent way to promote itself before Valentine’s Day.
Ado and Studio Trigger’s Chocolate Commercial Resembles the Anime My Little Witch Academia
This Japanese chocolate company is also celebrating its 60th anniversary in 2024, so it is all the more reason for them to do something meaningful. Lotte contacted Studio Trigger, known for My Little Witch Academia, Star Wars: Visions, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, and because it will be in charge of the New Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt animation. Studio Trigger created a video for this commercial with three witches joining forces to make the best chocolate. This animation mimics the animation and style of precisely one of their most popular anime, My Little Witch Academia.
In addition to Studio Trigger’s participation, Ado created the musical piece for this chocolatey commercial called Chocolat Cadabra. Ado is also a well-known artist whose popularity has been growing in the last couple of years. Ado also participated in the opening of season 2 of Spy x Family and lent her voice to Uta in One Piece Film: Red and Vocaloid songs. This commercial seems to be part of an upcoming anime, and Ado’s sound could make it one of the most viral songs for February. For now, Lotte only presented a 30-second teaser but will release the full music video for Valentine’s Day.
