After its successful Kickstarter campaign, open-world RPG Swords ‘n Magic and Stuff is now on Steam Early Access for $19.99, a saving of 33% off the future release price. The developer Kindred Games said that the game will have “no classes, levels, or restrictions”. Once you arrive into the port of Tirawyn what happens next is up to you: eager adventurers can choose to roam the island, take on quests, slay monsters, or hunt for hidden treasure. And if you don’t want to do any of that, that’s fine as well. Simply living a simple life as a farmer or a blacksmith is also an option. Honestly speaking, I’ve never heard about this game before but the premise is pretty intriguing.

Kindred Games is aiming to create an experience that is fueled by curiosity. And of course, discovering new stuff is always better with friends. Swords ‘n Magic and Stuff will have a drop-in, drop-out co-op feature that enables you to quickly jump into your friend’s game at any point. You and your friends can even take your houses and show off the loots you get from spelunking all over Tirawyn.

Swords 'n Magic and Stuff Announcement Trailer

Kindred Games founder, Michael Kocha, admits that he began developing Swords ‘n Magic and Stuff as a solo passion project because he wanted a game that he could play together with his young family. To achieve that vision, Michael makes sure that the game can be played as a relaxing adventure for all ages, centered firmly around the joy of discovery. He promised that Tirawyn will be updated regularly with new creatures, areas, and quests throughout Early Access in the hopes of creating “a world of near-endless possibilities.”

Sounds pretty fun, don’t you think? Share with us your thoughts on Swords ‘n Magic and Stuff by dropping by in the comments below.
