One of the most anticipated sci-fi RPGs out there is, hands down, EXODUS, and why shouldn’t it be? It has some veteran RPG devs behind it, excellent ideas that will make sci-fi fans go wild, and it is just oozing with style and many systems that remind us all of the golden era of role-playing games. And while we’ve seen some teasers, we now finally have a lengthy gameplay trailer showing several combat systems, a few narrative choices, and many of the companions that will likely join us for this spacefaring and time-bending ride.
Exodus Unveils Its Gameplay Trailer During Future Games Show

Today, during Future Games Show, Archetype Entertainment surprised us all with a lengthy gameplay trailer for EXODUS. As many of you know, the developers have already been sharing a few of the things we’ll be getting in this RPG, but now we’ve gotten a deeper dive into it, and it is looking extremely great.
Besides showing the beautiful visuals of several locations that our Travelers will be visiting, we also got a better look at combat, its UI, and just how well shooting and some of your gauntlet abilities work. And while that is great for those who love the fast-paced side of things, we also got a better look at how the narrative will flow, as well as some companions.
By the looks of it, the story will be high stakes, as many already know that time dilation plays a huge role in everything you do. Some things may change when you leave and return, thus affecting how the story flows.
Of course, an epic sci-fi RPG needs companions, and Archetype Entertainment has brought an interesting cast. We have everything ranging from a talking wolf-like companion, a mercenary octopus, and several others that will certainly make the journey more memorable.
Now, while all of these things sound great, the game is still a bit far away, but we do have a release window. The studio has revealed that the game is coming early 2027, which, well, isn’t that far away. We’re already in the middle of 2026, and also, EXODUS looks pretty polished from what we saw in the trailer, so many expect that this RPG will land during the first months of next year.
While there aren’t any pre-orders yet, you can wishlist the game. Also, remember that it will launch on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
