Splatoon kicks off this year’s AGDQ

Players finish games such as The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Town in a mere 17 minutes, a feat that would normally take dozens of hours to complete. This is done through a series of glitches and bugs manipulated to bypass certain portions of the game. Additionally, there are some players that will speedrun games to 100% completion, such as last years 9 hour run of Chrono Trigger.

Big headliners for this year’s event feature big titles such as Bloodborne, Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD, Final Fantasy IV and Metroid Fusion.

The first AGDQ of the year will run from January 3-9th. A complete breakdown of the week’s schedule can be found at the official AGDQ website.

If you can’t afford to spend hours of your day watching a live stream fret not! A full list of the VODs from each run can be found over at reddit.com/speedrun.
