Alec’s Criminal Charges
News that Alec Baldwin is grateful to Hilaria comes after a horrid time for the couple. It all began on October 21, 2021. During the Rust filming, Alec held a prop gun containing live rounds when it discharged. Unfortunately, Rust cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was hit in the chest by a bullet and died. It was also reported that Director Joel Souza sustained injuries. Following the incident, Alec was charged with two counts of involuntary manslaughter and firearms enhancement.
Alec claimed he was innocent throughout the investigation, as he didn’t pull the trigger. Finally, nearly two years after the incident, prosecutors dropped Alec Baldwin’s Rust charges. The actor’s attorneys, Luke Nikas and Alex Spiro confirmed the news in a statement to CNN. However, Prosecutor Kari Morrissey has said the dismissal is temporary, pending further investigation. Alec Baldwin remains grateful to Hilaria for staying with him through thick and thin.
