Alexa Mansour has been officially announced as the latest addition to Avalon, a new drama series coming to ABC. Mansour joins previously announced cast members Neve Campbell, Steven Pasquale, and Roslyn Ruff in Michael Connelly’s latest TV production, following the success of Bosch and Bosch: Legacy.
Avalon will feature a cast of police sheriffs and detectives in the small town of Avalon, in the middle of a massive tourist destination on Catalina Island in California. Sheriff Detective Nicole “Nic” Searcy (Neve Campbell) will take the lead in discovering what many have called “a career-defining mystery” that will flip everything Nicole knows about herself, her job, and her town on its head. Together with Detective William Claywood (Steven Pasquale) and police dispatcher Leah (Roslyn Ruff), Nicole will be tasked with overcoming the complications caused by over a million tourists in Avalon each year to prevent a mysterious tragedy threatening her town.
Who Will Alexa Mansour Be on ‘Avalon’?
Alexa Mansour will be joining Avalon on ABC as Deputy Carolyn Chavez, who is described as having a good sense of humor, cheer, and unbridled optimism. “Carolyn loves her job, loves her boss, loves everything about living on the Island,” Deadline reports. “She has her own compass, one she acquired after being forced to fend for herself at a young age.”
Aside from her upcoming role on Avalon, Alexa Mansour’s acting history includes well-known roles like Hope Bennett in The Walking Dead: World Beyond (2020), along with Emma “Emmanence” Resnick in Players (2022). She also starred as Emma in the TV series Home Before Dark (2021) and Erica Dunne in Unfriended: Dark Web (2018); in addition, she has previously starred alongside fellow Avalon cast member Roslyn Ruff in Madam Secretary (2019).
Avalon is the latest creation from author and screenwriter Michael Connelly, author of the acclaimed Harry Bosch crime series and the related Lincoln Lawyer series. In terms of TV adaptations, Connelly has previously headed Bosch (2014) and Bosch: Legacy (2022) on Amazon Prime Video, as well as the more recent Netflix series The Lincoln Lawyer (2022), which features Avalon star, Neve Campbell.
Michael Connelly will serve as an executive producer for Avalon alongside David E. Kelley, Dana Calvo, and Ross Fineman of Fineman Productions. Barry Jossen and Tana Jamieson will produce Avalon on ABC for A+E Studios and Matthew Tinker for DEK Productions, along with 20th Century Television.
