When Sister Wives first premiered, fans met Kody Brown and his three wives- Meri Brown, Christine Brown, and Janelle Brown. At the end of that season, Kody was already courting Robyn, who ended up becoming his fourth wife. However, since then, all the senior wives have left the patriarch.
After Christine Brown divorced Kody in 2021, Janelle Brown separated from him, and Meri Brown has since announced she had also left her marriage for good. Meanwhile, sources close to production revealed Kody is courting a foreign wife. The source claimed Kody and Robyn are actively looking for a new wife due to the divorces from his ex-wives. Nevertheless, there is no indication their search for a new wife will feature on season 18 of Sister Wives.

Although Christine, 50, and Janelle, 53, are filming season 18 despite their divorce from the patriarch, the two are also in talks with TLC over a new Sister Wives spin-off. According to reports, the show would follow the close friendship between the Utah-based moms and how they navigate their lives away from polygamy. While speaking about the spin-off, a source told The U.S. Sun:
“They’re gearing towards their own show. It would be more about female empowerment like ‘Life After Polygamy.’ That’s the direction they’re going in.”
The source continued:
“Separate lives from Kody and Robyn and life at home with their kids,” the insider explained. “They’re trying to build a financial empire together.”
The duo already built an impressive financial empire through their health journey together. Also, their business sees them promote health products, trips, and one-on-one consultations.
More Family Members Have Joined the Spin-Off
While reports have confirmed that close friends Christine and Janelle will be headlining the new spin-off, there is no indication whether Kody’s ex-wife Meri will be part of the show. As things stand, there is no yes or no from her camp, so anything could still happen. However, the source confirmed that some of the kids love the idea and have signed up for the show already.
Christine was Kody’s third wife, and they share six children — Aspyn, 27; Mykelti, 26; Paedon, 24; Gwendlyn, 21; Ysabel, 19; and Truely, 12. Janelle was the second wife in the one-time polygamous family. She also shared six children with Kody — Logan, 28; Madison, 27; Hunter, 26; Garrison, 24; Gabriel, 21; and Savanah, 18.
The Spin-Off Will Follow Their Lives Post Divorce

Fans seem to have finally got their wish this time, as the new spin-off is all confirmed. The source revealed the show would heavily focus on the women’s personal lives as well as their journey to building a financial empire. The source shared:
“The spinoff would be focused on their life with their families, moving on from Kody, dating, and their businesses.”
Meanwhile, Christine recently revealed on Instagram that she has a boyfriend, whom she is dating exclusively. However, she later revealed him as David Woolley, a construction executive. The announcement came after The U.S. Sun reported her kids were helping her search for men to date.
Although Christine is delighted about her new relationship, she has kept his identity hidden from the public, like actively avoiding public dates where fans can spot them.
