Besides NBA 2k24’s addition of crossplay to the game and the new face scan app, there are plenty of things to be excited about. One of these things is the ability to make contact dunks that really impress not only those in the audience, but yourself. There are requirements to completing these dunks. They must be met before dunks can be done, so here we’re outlining exactly how to complete the NBA 2k24 dunk requirements.

Being able to dunk on other players does so much in the way of asserting your dominance as a player against the other team. Although basketball is a team effort, there are definitely players who shine according to their special skills, dunking included. They used to be a little easier to initiate, but NBA 2k24 has raised the requirements to make it a little bit more realistic. There are a total of eight different contact dunks that you can perform. There are also a total of six different prerequisites that must be met first if you want to be able to do any of these dunks. We’ve outlined exactly which dunks need which requirements in the table below:

Contact Dunk Type Driving Dunk Driving Layup Minimum Height Maximum Height Standing Dunk Vertical
Elite Bigman Contact Dunks Any Any 6’10 7’3 90+ 75+
Elite Contact Dunks Off One 92+ Any 5’7 7’3 Any 82+
Elite Contact Dunks Off Two 92+ Any 5’7 7’3 Any 80+
Pro Bigman Contact Dunks Any Any 6’10 7’3 80+ 65+
Pro Contact Dunks Off One 84+ Any 5’7 7’3 Any 75+
Pro Contact Dunks Off Two 84+ Any 5’7 7’3 Any 70+
Small Contact Dunks Off One 86+ Any 5’7 6’4 Any 85+
Small Contract Dunks Off Two 86+ Any 5’7 6’4 Any 85+

It would also be in your best interest to use dunking badges such as the Posterizer badge which can increase your chances of dunking against a defending player. Some of the players that have the highest chances of being able to initiate these dunks include players like Ja Morant and Zion Williamson. The Elite Bigman Contact Type requires a minimum height of 6’10, so only players like Ben Simmons and Paolo Banchero would be able to accomplish it. So long as you know what you need to do with the information that we provided above, then it should not be hard to meet the NBA 2k24 contact dunk requirements.
