Helldivers 2 takes place in the Galactic War, where enemy factions from other planets threaten Super Earth and the lives of its inhabitants. As soldiers in this battle, you must know who or what you are facing and how to defeat them. In Helldivers 2, there are two groups of enemies, one of insect-like creatures and the other faction of robots. Liberate each planet by working with your teammates or by your efforts. Keep your eyes peeled; you don’t want the aliens to catch you off guard.
Helldivers 2: Enemies Factions of Automatons
Among the hordes of enemies of these robots are:
Dropship | They are similar to cargo drones that help more automatons to arrive. They are easy to shoot down but concentrate more on the incoming robots. |
MG Raider | Biped robots that do a lot of damage with machine guns from a distance. They are easily defeated, but you must shoot them once they are in sight. |
Rocket Raider | They work like MG Raiders, but instead of using machine guns, they have a rocket launcher. Also, shoot them as soon as they appear. |
Brawler | These have chainsaws instead of arms. Keep your distance from these robots, but if you must fight one, attack it with fire in its red center. |
Berserker | These have chainsaws instead of arms. Keep your distance from these robots, but if you must fight one, attack it with fire in its red center. |
Devastator | They are also melee fighters with little armor but are easy to spot. Shotgun shots are effective against them. |
Marauder | It’s an armored robot that shoots with cannons and rockets. Against them, grenades and missiles to its head are the most effective because of its shield. |
Heavy Devastator | It is a larger and more resistant version of the normal devastator, so it needs more powerful attacks, such as grenades, to knock them down when they approach. |
Rocket Devastator | Another version of the Devastator but with a rocket launcher. Give him your best shot with a grenade to break through his armor. |
Trooper | A robot with long legs for attacks from above. Fortunately, you can shoot them down by shooting the pilot or attacking their legs. |
Scout Strider | They are like Troopers but have some armor; their long legs are their weakness, too. |
Hulk Buiser | It is a large robot with heavy fists, but it won’t take you by surprise. Instead, you must distract him to shoot him in the upper back, and it is better if it is with a shotgun. |
Hulk Scorcher | A huge robot with powerful flamethrowers. You must inflict much damage quickly with the Railgun, explosives, or the Orbital Strike. |
Shredder Tank | This is literally an armored tank, very difficult to penetrate. Its weakness is firing at the rear of its turret or Orbital Strike. |
Annihilator Tank | This is a tank of greater size, strength, and armor. So, to stop it, you will have to use your most powerful weapons, but it will take a lot to defeat it. |
Terminids
Within the nests of these insect-like creatures, you will find:
Scavenger | It is the basic insect of these enemies, but if they are a swarm, they are very dangerous. The balaz are very effective and prevent them from gathering. |
Flying Scavenger | It works like the normal Scavenger, but this one can fly. |
Hunter | This fast bug will ambush you by jumping from a distance. Try to take them out as soon as you see them with your gun, but if they get together, it’s better to use a grenade. |
Secret Hunter | It is a larger Hunter, but these are almost invisible because of their camouflage. They are more visible in smoke or use mines to keep them limited. |
Warrior | They are the smallest bug enemies but are more resistant than the Hunter. Shotguns work perfectly against this enemy. |
Brood Commander | These are larger and tougher than the Warrior but are covered with a green toxin. When attacking they should be your priority, use a machine gun to take them down faster. |
Hive Guard | The largest and most heavily armored Warrior. The railgun or machine gun is the best choice because more powerful attacks are difficult to plan because of the movements of the enemy. |
Charger | One of the largest Terminids with a hard shell, except for the abdomen, which you must attack. But a railgun is effective for headshots on this creature. |
Spewer | It is a small insect that spits a green acid that burns and slows down. Keep your distance until you can attack it, your gun will be enough. |
Large Spewer | They are a larger Spewer with which you can use heavy weapons to try to eliminate them as quickly as possible. |
Bile Titan | This enemy is huge with armor and spits toxic saliva. Heavier weapons will be your best ally, but ensure you have enough ammo as this bug summons more enemies. |
Now you know the factions of enemies you face and how to exterminate each one of them in Helldivers 2. Save as many spear lives as you can as long as possible to advance further in your campaign with your friends.
