This article is over 1 years old and may contain outdated information.

With theย Call of Duty: MW3ย andย Warzoneย Season 1 updates, new content has been released for every game mode in both titles. This includes the newย Warzoneย map, Multiplayer maps, and MWZ’s new chapter of the Dark Aether storyline. Act IV is the new MWZ Season 1 list of missions like the Bad Signal, and you can access it without needing to complete the previous Acts inย MW3ย Zombies to fight a new Orcus boss fight!

Bad Signal:

  • So Many Teeth Charm
  • +10K XP

MW3 Zombies Season 1 starts with a single mission called the Bad Signal only, and the rest of the missions will be added as the mid-season content. However, there’s now a tier 4 zone on the map, where you can enter a Dark Aether rift and fight the zombies inside a new area.

  • Enter the Dark Aether rift.
  • Break the seals.
  • Defeat Gorm’Gant

By picking the Bad Signal mission in MWZ Season 1, you’ll find a new portal on the map. This is the Aether Rift, and if you get near it, it’ll give you the prompts to “Investigate The Anomaly.” Enter the rift, and you’ll find yourself in the tier 4 zone of theย MW3ย Zombies map. You can also create this rift later after the Bad Signal mission via an easter egg from the location marked above.

No worries, however, as this new zone only has some level 2 zombies inside. You need to fight off the zombies and break the seals inside. There are four seals, and you have to kill zombies beside each one of them to break them. There will be a ton of zombies attacking you at this time, and after breaking all four seals, you’ll then have to fight a boss.

This boss is called the Gorm’Gant in MWZ Season 1, and the best way to kill him is by using lethal and tactical equipment. Breacher Drones and Gas Grenades do the most damage, and you’ll have to shoot its weak points with pack-a-punched weapons to damage the Aether beast. And Gorm’Gant eats you, you’ll be downed only, which is actually funny to see your teammates being swallowed by a giant purple worm.

Once you kill Gorm’Gant, a reward rift appears with a Locked Notebook item inside. This item is for a further easter egg in the MWZ Season 1, and by exiting the portal your mission will be complete. Now this new zone has a lot of new easter eggs and mysteries to uncover, so make sure you follow our MW3 Zombies guides at The Nerd Stash for more upcoming MWZ content.
