Alyssa Milano is engaging in one of parenting’s more tedious tasks, and the internet is cutting her no slack. The mom of two shared a fundraising link for her son Milo’s baseball team. The team is hoping to travel to the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York, this summer, and fundraising is part of the journey.
Milano Was Not Expecting the Reaction to Her Tweet
On Thursday, Alyssa Milano tweeted about the fundraiser on X, asking for donations from fans.
My son’s baseball team is raising money for their Cooperstown trip. Any amount would be so greatly appreciated. You can read more about the team and make a donation here.”

The link led to a GoFundMe organized by Milano and her husband, David Bugliari. The goal of the fundraiser is $10,000, a goal they’re over 75% of the way to completing at this time.
Social Media Was Not Kind to the Actress About the Move
Many commenters immediately piped up after seeing the tweet, questioning why Milano, a notable actress with a long career, couldn’t fund the trip herself.
Both Alyssa Milano and her husband are Millionaires, but they want your money. She cannot be bothered to create a fundraiser which teaches children to work for what they want and which benefits the community, She just wants cold hard cash the easiest way possible.”

Proof that @Alyssa_Milano is an out of touch, greedy elite. Imagine asking her x followers to pitch in for her son’s baseball travel expenses?!?!?”

Fans also came to Milano’s defense, explaining that fundraising for the trip is part of the experience for the pre-teens and that Milano was probably just sharing it the way other moms would, albeit to a larger audience.
The people dragging Alyssa Milano for posting about a fundraiser for her son’s baseball team are the same ones who constantly call her ‘washed up’ and an ‘out of work’ ‘loser’ actress – Which is it, haters? Is she rich or not?”

Milano Explained Herself In a Follow-Up Tweet
The next day, Milano returned to X to clear the air about the fundraiser and explain why it wasn’t as simple as her footing the bill while also confirming that she does cover plenty for the team.
After “media inquiries” about the situation, Milano detailed that she’s “paid for uniforms for the entire team and coaches, thrown birthday parties and sponsor any kid who can’t afford monthly dues.”
That said, the mom of two said that the kids’ fundraising is part of the process. In person, those fundraisers look like “car washes” and “movie nights.”
The explanation wasn’t enough for some, but there were plenty of baseball moms who had the actress’ back.
