Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes have done a lot of sharing on their new podcast, but the latest episode had fans asking where the two would draw the line. The former GMA 3 hosts, who were let go after the relationship came to light, had a very candid discussion on the latest episode of their eponymous podcast — the recording of which was sprung on Robach during a heated debate between the couples.
The episode, recorded in the couple’s living room, talks about how the couple reconcile their professional struggles with the relationship they share, with Robach saying that she “chooses” to love Homes, regardless of the professional repercussions.
Robach Is Upset By the Current Working Dynamic Between the Two
“I have always been fully confident in our ability to work together on television or in any broadcast capacity. What I haven’t done as much in my career is be responsible for content, booking, ratings and the pressure of all of that has consumed both of us.”

Robach explained that their ability to “work together and enjoy that profusely and then enjoy our free time” had shifted recently and that the couple now “work differently.”
“What we have ended up doing is sitting in silence for hours next to each other and it is exhausting.”

The Former Anchor Cried, Telling Holmes They’re “Disconnected”
Robach explained she wanted to maintain the same transparency that she has throughout this process and that she believes “there isn’t a couple out there” who doesn’t go through similar struggles and discussions.
“And so yes, I don’t, and I know you don’t, want to put on some false narrative that somehow we’re the perfect couple and we found our true love and that means we never fight, we always get along, and things are rosy and great. No they’re not.”

Robach noted that their relationship exists in a unique place. While the romantic aspect is still so new, they’ve known each other closely for over a decade, noting,
“I’m learning things about you every day as we’re, we’ve always worked together, but working with this type of pressure over our head is a whole other thing. That pressure is a lot.”

Robach Says She Believes ‘Love Is a Choice’
Holmes seemed hesitant as he asked Robach if she was concerned about their continued professional relationship or their personal one.
“I don’t feel the pressure from the public to stay with you,” Robach clarified.
“I know you well enough and I’ve spent enough time with you and I knew how I felt and love sometimes is a choice when it’s hard. It’s not just a feeling. Lust is a feeling, but love is a choice, I believe, and I have chosen to love you, so I don’t feel pressure from the public to be with you. I would be devastated just personally because I want to be with you and I chose you.”

That said, Robach did admit to feeling of:
“the pressure of our careers that I believe we’re unfairly taken from us, and I really want to be able to do what I love and I want to be able to do it with you, so that’s more the pressure I feel.”

The tone of the episode was so serious that fans needed reassurance that the couple was alright. They delivered on Thursday, sharing a video of a stroll together and talking about the strong reaction to the episode.
“We’re still together :) If you’ve already listened to today’s episode on Amy and T.J., you’ll understand!”
