Fans of the wildly popular 2017 bullet hell are in for a treat. According to a brand-new
September 29th Cuphead Update
MDHR is titling this upcoming event the “Xbox Anniversary Update”. Sadly, it doesn’t add any new gameplay content, but there is still plenty to be excited for! The update will instead include the following:
- 100 hi-res photos taken from the MDHR archives that reveal unseen concept art and art pieces.
- The entire Cuphead soundtrack, updated to include songs from the ‘Delicious Last Course‘ DLC. MDHR has also incorporated unused music tracks and orchestral demos!
- A behind-the-scenes video player to provide some insight into the making of Cuphead.
These exciting insights to the world of game development will certainly be fascinating to see for ourselves. Especially with a game like Cuphead, where art and sound direction are anything but conventional! In an interview with

As for why the team at MDHR decided not to provide the Cuphead anniversary update to PS5 and Switch users, Co-Director Chad Moldenhauer said this:
