There have also been rumors that the reality star filed for a divorce because of the pressure of paying back the debt.
Andy Cohen Texted Kim Zolciak Amid Divorce News
During the Tuesday episode of Andy Cohen Live on Sirius XM, the 54-year-old said that he was surprised when he heard about the divorce news. However, he added that it was the last news that he was expecting to hear. This is because the duo seemed like they were so much in love with each other.
Cohen shared that he felt terrible about the news, so he texted the Real Housewives Of Atlanta star and sent his condolences to her. The host also talked about the report about the former couple owing $1,000,000 in tax debt. He shared that he sincerely felt sorry for them.
The court document showed that the Don’t Be Tardy star has been separated from Biermann since the 30th of April. Biermann and Zolciak have four kids together. He even adopted Zolciak’s two kids, a product of her previous marriage.
Zolciak Requested For Spousal Support
The court document obtained by TMZ revealed that Zolciak requested spousal support. Not only that, but she also requested that her maiden name should be restored. This means that she does not want her ex-husband’s name anymore.
She also asked for primary physical custody of her kids and legal joint custody of the younger kids. The publication reported that the TV personality said in the court document that her marriage is irretrievably broken. In other words, there would be no hope for reconciliation.
The outlet also reported that Biermann and Zolciak accumulated a debt of $1,000,000 from the IRS. This comprises lawbreaker taxes, penalties, and interest from 2013, 2017, and 2018. Apart from that, they are also in arrears in their native Georgia for 2018.
