RHOA star Kim Zolciak has decided to put an end to her marriage following her family’s money troubles. Although Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann’s marriage seemed like it would end happily ever after, Zolciak is no longer interested. According to court documents TMZ obtained, Zolciak filed for divorce on April 30. As to the reason for their separation, the Bravolebrity believes that her marriage to Biermann is damaged beyond repair.Â

The former hotshot couple is not only dealing with a damaged relationship. The announcement of their separation comes on the heels of their monetary problems. According to the outlet, the husband and wife have a debt of about a million dollars in “unpaid taxes, interest, and penalties from 2013, 2017, and 2018.” In addition, Zolciak and Biermann have a debt of $15,000 stemming from taxes they haven’t paid since 2018 in Georgia.Â
Meanwhile, the celebrity couple lost their home to the bank recently after defaulting on their payments. According to real estate agents, the five-bedroom mansion is worth about $ 2.5 million.Â
Kim Zolciak Wants Primary Custody of Their Children
In addition to asking for a divorce, Zolciak also has some other requests. The mother of six filed to get “primary physical custody” of her and Biermann’s four children. However, she also made a motion for joint parenting time between herself and her estranged spouse. Zolciak and Biermann share four young children, namely, Kroy Jagger, Kash Kade, and twins Kaia Rose and Kane Ren. Meanwhile, RHOAÂ star Zolciak already had daughters Brielle and Ariana, who Biermann adopted upon his tying the knot with her.Â
The estranged couple met in 2010 during a function RHOA star Zolciak was reluctant to attend and fell in love quickly. The duo said their vows in 2011. Before her marriage to Biermann, Zolciak married Daniel Toce in 2001, but their marriage ended quickly in 2003. The Real Housewives of Atlanta star, who belongs to the LGBTQ community as a bisexual, also once dated DJ Tracy Young and Lee Najjar. Biermann, on the other hand, has only been married once to Zolciak.Â
