We all love our vampire with a soul. He debuted in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and we have loved him ever since. Angel played by actor David Boreanaz, started with the spin-off of Buffy in October of 1999. Angel ran for five seasons with a few crossovers with the original Buffy series along the way. Fans have been begging for a continuation or anything to remind us of the original shows. Joss Whedon brought Angel to life with humour, morality, darkness and human emotion. Like many supernatural and mystical shows of the early 2000s, Angel gave its viewers excitement and some even say a sense of hope, that there could be more out there. Fans have been tweeting since he slipped the hint.

This week actor David Boreanaz was on The Talk and mentioned “We’re coming up on our 20 years, that’s amazing to have been blessed with a show like that. That’s really where I started my gig in this acting world. I love that character. So I will say there may be something coming up. I don’t want to give away a lot. It’s 20 years coming up this fall, and we may have something in the works.”
Boreanaz has such love and passion for the role, and it shows every time he hops the rooftops as the soulful vampire. If Angel does get an anniversary revival, he might want to send a thank you card to the cast of Buffy. Earlier last fall at a Comic-Con he stood up for a potential Buffy reboot. At the risk of an upset crowd Boreanaz said :
” This is a good thing. I’m very happy for them. It’s embracing something new. Things move on. Stories evolve. Times change. I’m all for it. Good for them. I hope it becomes huge and successful.”
Hopefully, we can see both Buffy and Angel 20 years later. That would be incredible. You’ll get all you Angel/Buffy news and updates here.
