Strangely Interactive has released their debut game Angels Fall First into Steam Early Access today. Billed as a first person combined-arms sci-fi wargame, Angels Fall First features a mix of FPS and vehicular gameplay, in the same vein as similar games such as Planetside. The game has been developed as an independent effort, with the development team financing it themselves.

At the time of this writing the reviews on Steam so far are mostly positive. Players are drawing comparisons to Planetside, Star Wars: Battlefront, and Command & Conquer: Renegades. The title has an ambitious concept, and even in Early Access an impressive feature list including the following;
- Combined-arms combat – fly starfighters and capital ships, drive vehicles and fight on foot.
- Multiplayer up to 64 players, dedicated and listen servers, with bots able to fill in for players in any role.
- Full AI bot support – use bots to increase body count for matches with fewer players. AI understands every aspect of gameplay, including the chain of command. Offline play is possible, as well as co-op style of matches where human players face off against bots.
- 16 different capital ships to take command of, defend, repair or board and sabotage from the inside.
- Commander mode – an elected commander can issue orders to squads from a tactical overview map – but if nobody feels like it, the AI commander is always ready to serve
Many more features are present and with it being in early access more will most likely be added over time.
The game is priced at $17.99, but for a limited time is on sale for $13.49.
