Ever felt like the museum lacked something inย Animal Crossing: New Horizons? Thanks to the 2.0 update, you can get a new cafe to hang out in with your friends. Known as The Roost, the spot is where you can drink a nice cup of coffee solo or with friends or eventuallyย take it to go. But to unlock the cafe inย Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you must find Brewster, the pigeon who will run The Roost.ย

Before you can find Brewster in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you must install the 2.0 update or any newer version. From there, meet the following requirements:

  • Be the Resident Representative (the first player to start up the game on the Switch)
  • Unlock the Art Wing in the museum (donate at least 60 items)
  • Donate one of every kind of item to the museum
  • Have a 3-Star Island Rating

You can check outย the guide hereย if you need help to achieve a 3-Star rating. As long as those requirements are met, you can head to the museum and speak withย Blathers. He should have a thought bubble over his head. If he doesn’t, leave and return. He should mention the idea of a cafe and urge you to look for his old friend who used to run a coffee shop. Now, we kick off the quest to find Brewster inย Animal Crossing.

The only tip Blathers can offer to find Brewster is that the pigeon likes gyroids. Additionally, he’ll tell you to head for the island tours with Kapp’n. Head to your pier to find Kapp’n and get ready to spend 1,000 Nook Miles to take the boat tour. Once you’re on the new Animal Crossing: New Horizons island, it’s straightforward to find Brewster as he’s the only one there.

Talk with him and mention the idea Blathers has to unlock a cafe inย Animal Crossing. Not only will Brewster readily agree to come, but he also gives you a gyroid fragment and explains everything about them, too. From there, return to your island and let Blathers know the good news. He’ll close the museum to prepare for The Roost, so you must wait until the day after tomorrow to see it.

Hanging Out With Brewster in Animal Crossing

If you want to chat with Brewster in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you want to visit The Roost at any time. On your first visit, you can get on his good side by drinking the coffee he gives you when he instructs you to. The coffee costs 200 bells. You can even invite friends over to share a drink with you, and if you order coffee three times, Brewster will let you take it to go.

Just maybe don’t drink the pigeon milk once Brewster offers it to you. Do you really want to find out what pigeon milk tastes like?

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available on Nintendo Switch.
